The Access Network Optimization (ANO) platform was developed to bring 16 years of research & development that was done for the US Armed Forces, to the commercial telecommunications market. The various functional modules that makeup the ANO platform have been used by the US armed forces for the last 12 years. It has been widely deployed both for civilian use and in battle-field conditions, to move, highly critical, BMS (Battle Management Systems) data over very low bandwidth terrestrial & satellite access links. The platform is also backed by two US Patents in the field of real-time, lossless, image optimization.
Benefits to the operator:
– Improved efficiency of down-link data transmitted over the RF spectrum
– Improved performance in geographic areas of reduced service coverage
– Improved performance in geographic areas of low signal strength
– Improved performance in highly congested areas such as urban cities
– No reduction in optical clarity to the handset user
– In platform caching reduces bandwidth requirements at the internet gateway
benefits to the subscriber:
– Reduction or elimination of handset wait time for data and video downloads
– No touch implementation full OS interoperability (iOS & Android)
– Full compatibility with low end devices
– Faster website load times
